Pepper Cabbage

  1. Stir sugar and vinegar together in mixing bowl to partly dissolve sugar.
  2. Toss vegetables, celery seed, and pepper with sugar and vinegar mixture.
  3. Refrigerate for at least one hour to soften vegetables.
  4. Stir frequently.
  5. Cabbbage with a zesty flavor prepared with a sugar and vinegar sauce.
  6. Served most frequently with fish, chicken, and as a luncheon side dish.
  7. Stores well several days in a refrigerated closed container.
