Loose Meat Sandwiches

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet until there is no pink remaining.
  2. Break beef into small pieces (a potato masher does a great job of getting the beef into small pieces).
  3. Drain fat from skillet.
  4. Add sugar, pepper, salt, cola, and mustard simmer until the liquid has cooked down (about 10 minutes).
  5. Spoon beef mixture on to bun and top with onions, mustard, and pickles.
  6. Note: I have used regular cola, cherry cola, and Dr. Pepper in this recipe and all variations have worked great.
