Loose Meat Sandwiches
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 2 Tablespoons Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- 1/2 cups Cola
- 1 teaspoon Yellow Mustard
- 6 whole Hamburger Buns
- Diced Onions (to Garnish)
- Pickle Slices (to Garnish)
- Brown ground beef in a skillet until there is no pink remaining.
- Break beef into small pieces (a potato masher does a great job of getting the beef into small pieces).
- Drain fat from skillet.
- Add sugar, pepper, salt, cola, and mustard simmer until the liquid has cooked down (about 10 minutes).
- Spoon beef mixture on to bun and top with onions, mustard, and pickles.
- Note: I have used regular cola, cherry cola, and Dr. Pepper in this recipe and all variations have worked great.
