Toasted Sesame Dressing
- 1 1/2 cup canola oil
- 3/4 cup seasoned rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 1/2 cup dark soy sauce
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp dark brown sugar
- 2 tbsp chicken bouillon powder, dissolved in 1/3 cup very hot water
- 1/3 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 tsp 5-spice powder
- NOTE: You must use TOASTED Sesame Oil and SEASONED Rice Vinegar to get the proper flavor.
- If you're unable to find them in your market, they are available online.
- I've tried making it with plain sesame oil and rice vinegar, and it's just not that good.
- Whisk all ingredients together well, or mix in a blender.
- I prefer using a blender because the oil stays blended with the other ingredients longer.
- Refrigerate in a covered bottle or jar.
- Shake well before using.
- Use as a dipping sauce for:
canola oil, rice vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, brown sugar, chicken bouillon powder, pineapple juice
