Tomato Sauce
- 2 tbsp Olive oil (or vegetable oil)
- 3 clove Garlic (minced)
- 1 Onions (minced)
- 1 Canned tomatoes (chopped tomatoes)
- 2 Consomme soup stock cubes
- 1 dash Salt, pepper, nutmeg
- 1 Herbs and wine to taste
- Heat the olive oil and garlic in a pan over low heat.
- When it becomes fragrant, add the onion and cook.
- Add the wine and turn the heat to high to cook off the alcohol.
- Add the canned tomato, 100 ml of water, soup stock granules, and herbs and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
- If the sauce reduces too much, add more water.
- When it has thickened, add the salt, pepper, and nutmeg and enjoy.
- You can store it in the freezer in freezer bags after it has cooled.
- It will be good for 2~3 months.
- It's handy to freeze in a thin layer and break it open to use.
- Gnocchi.
- Mix it with white sauce to make an easy tomato cream sauce..
- Great as a pasta sauce, too!
- Serve with various fresh pastas!.
- Fried rice simmered with cheese makes a great restaurant-style risotto.
