Pan-Fried Cheese Hanpen and Lotus Root with Seaweed
- 1 large Hanpen
- 1 Egg
- 10 slice Lotus root
- 30 grams Pizza cheese
- 1 tbsp White flour
- 5 sheets Flavored nori seaweed
- Place the lotus root onto a plate, cover with plastic wrap, and microwave for 3 minutes.
- Put the roughly chopped hanpen and egg into a food processor, and stop when just blended.
- Combine the hanpen mixture from Step 2, cheese, and flour in a bowl.
- Divide Step 3 into 10 portions.
- Spoon the lotus root mixture on top, and wrap with nori seaweed cut into half lengthwise.
- Heat oil in a pan, and add the portions from Step 4.
- Pan-fry for about 10 minutes at low heat.
- Flip occasionally.
- They are delicious without sauce, but you can eat with wasabi soy sauce if you prefer.
