Oven-Baked Ribs And Kraut

  1. Place ribs, meaty side down, in a shallow roasting pan.
  2. Roast in a 450u0b0 oven for 20 minutes.
  3. Remove meat from oven; drain off excess fat.
  4. Reduce oven temperature to 350u0b0.
  5. Combine sauerkraut, potatoes, broth, pimiento and celery seed.
  6. Place in baking dish. Separate onion into rings; place sauerkraut mixture on top of ribs, meaty side up, in center of dish.
  7. Sprinkle with salt. Brush barbecue sauce over ribs; cover.
  8. Bake in a 350u0b0 oven for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours.
  9. Serves 6.
