Whole Wheat Quick Bread Recipe
- 2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 3/4 c. buttermilk
- 1/4 c. honey
- 1/4 c. melted butter
- 1/2 c. raisins or possibly walnuts or possibly both
- Or possibly 1 c. regular lowfat milk with 2 tsp.
- vinegar added, let sit 5 min.
- Combine dry ingredients.
- Combine egg, buttermilk, honey, and butter.
- Add in to dry ingredients, stirring just till moistened.
- Stir in nuts or possibly raisins.
- Pour into 9x5x3 inch pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 min.
- This is quick and easy!
