Steak Rice Bowl with Wasabi Sauce
- 2 steaks Beef steak
- 1 dash Salt
- 1 dash Pepper
- 1 Beef tallow (or vegetable oil)
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1/2 tbsp Mirin
- 2 cm Wasabi paste
- 1 Hot cooked rice
- 1 sheet Roasted nori seaweed
- Combine all of the ingredients.
- Heat the beef tallow in the frying pan and pan-fry the seasoned beef steak over high heat until browned.
- When it has become a delicious looking brown, flip over, lower the heat a small amount, and continue frying.
- When both sides have browned nicely, remove from the pan and wrap in aluminum foil.
- Add the combined ingredients to the frying pan with the leftover meat juices and boil until the sauce thickens.
- Fill a bowl with rice and top with shredded nori.
- Cut the steaks into bite-sized pieces and place on top of the nori.
- Cover with the sauce.
