Hot Cream Cheese Canapes Recipe

• 8 ounce. cream cheese, softened
• 1 egg, lightly beaten
• 1/2 onion, chopped
• Freshly grnd pepper (or possibly regular pepper) to taste
• Salt to taste
• 30 small bread squares toasted

1. Toast a piece of bread and remove crusts and divide into 4 squares.
2. Preheat broiler.
3. Mix the cream cheese, egg, onion and pepper together.
4. Mashing them well with a fork.
5. Add in salt.
6. Spread generously on toasted bread and run under broiler till puffed and lightly browned.
7. Serve at once.
