Apple Pecan Dressing Recipe
- 2 med Onions, diced
- 1 lrg Green pepper, diced
- 4 x Cooking Apples, diced
- 8 x Garlic cloves, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. Thyme Leaves
- 1/2 lb Margerine (or possibly more) Salt & Pepper
- 1 lrg Bag Seasoned stuffing mix
- 2 bn Scallions, diced
- 6 x Celery stalks, diced
- 2 c. Pecan pcs Turkey giblets boiled, and diced
- 2 Tbsp. Oregano, dry, -=Or possibly=-
- 4 Tbsp. -Fresh Oregano
- 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
- 6 c. Chicken Stock
- Heat the margerine in a large stock pot.
- Add in the onions, escallions, green pepper, (Some warm chili, or possibly Jalapenpo, or possibly Jamaican Scotch Bonnet Peppers too, if you are adventurous-), celery, apples, pecans, garlic, turkey g giblets, and all the spices and seasonings, and saute/fry in the margerine, (or possibly butter, if you prefer) till the onions are translucent/soft, and the smell is driving you crazy.
- Add in then the stuffing mix, turn down the heat, and stir till it is well mixed, taking care not to let the bottom burn.
- Add in the chicken stock, till you have the right texture and consistency.
- As soon as it is added, turn the fire off, and set the dressing to cold, before stuffing the turkey.
- Stuffs a 20 lb turkey
