Graveyard Gelatin Dessert

  1. Mix 2 cups of the cookie crumbs, 1/4 cup of the sugar and melted butter in 13x9-inch pan.
  2. Press firmly into bottom of pan.
  3. Refrigerate.
  4. Beat cream cheese and remaining 1/4 cup sugar in medium bowl until smooth.
  5. Stir in 1/2 of the whipped topping.
  6. Spread evenly over crust.
  7. Stir boiling water into gelatin in medium bowl 2 minutes or until completely dissolved.
  8. Mix cold water and ice to make 1-1/2 cups.
  9. Add to gelatin, stirring until slightly thickened.
  10. Remove any remaining ice.
  11. Spoon slightly thickened gelatin over cream cheese layer.
  12. Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm.
  13. Spread remaining whipped topping over gelatin just before serving.
  14. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup cookie crumbs over whipped topping.
  15. Decorate sandwich cookies with icings to make "tombstones."
  16. Stand "tombstones" on top of dessert with candies to resemble a graveyard.
  17. Cut into squares.
  18. Store leftover dessert in refrigerator.
