Cheese and Ham Puff Pastry Boats
- 1/2 Red Bell Pepper, chopped
- 1/2 Onion, Chopped
- 7 ounces, weight Creamy Cheese Of Your Choice
- 5-13 ounces, weight Sliced Ham, Chopped
- 1 Egg
- 1 box Frozen Puff Pastry (500 Grams Package Each Containing 6 Sheets), Thawed According To Package Directions
- 3-58 ounces, weight Shredded Mozzarella
- Salt, Pepper And Spices To Taste
- Preheat oven to 225 degrees C (437 degrees F) .
- Combine the chopped pepper and onion in a bowl with the creamy cheese and chopped ham.
- Check the taste and if needed add pepper and spices to taste.
- In another bowl whisk the egg.
- Slice each sheet of pastry vertically into 3 rectangles and flatten/spread them into squares with a rolling pin.
- Place a spoon full of filling in the center of each square, fold 2 opposite corners toward the middle and press so they stick together.
- Press all seams closed.
- Repeat until all of the filling and pastry has been used.
- Put them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Brush with the whisked egg and add shredded mozzarella on top.
- Bake at 225 degrees C (437 degrees F) for about 10-15 minutes (or follow the pastry package instructions), until the pastries have gotten a nice golden color.
- Note regarding the cheese: I used a creamy garlic flavoured cheese and I added some mozzarella on the top.
