San Carlos Park Chili Recipe
- 2 lbs. lean grnd meat
- 1 1/2 c. minced onions (3 med.)
- 2 crushed garlic cloves
- 1 (16 ounce.) crushed tomatoes
- 1 (15 ounce.) can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 (15 1/2 ounce.) cans fancy dark red kidney beans
- 2 tbsp. chili pwdr or possibly to taste
- 1 tbsp. paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. or possibly more water
- 2 tbsp. flour in shaker for a little thickening
- Brown grnd meat and onions; drain.
- Add in 1 tsp.
- sugar to tomatoes.
- Mix all together.
- Let it simmer about 3 1/2 hrs.
