Strawberry Crunch Salad
- 2 c. thin pretzels, broken sticks
- 1 1/2 sticks margarine
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 c. frozen whipped topping
- 1 pkg. (6 oz.) strawberry gelatin
- 2 c. hot water
- 2 pkg. (10 oz. each) frozen strawberries
- Combine pretzel pieces, margarine and 3 tablespoons sugar. Spread in 9 x 13-inch greased baking dish.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for seven (7) minutes.
- Remove and allow to cool thoroughly.
- Blend softened cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar thoroughly.
- Fold in whipped topping.
- Spread evenly over first layer.
- Dissolve gelatin in hot water; allow to cool to room temperature.
- Add strawberries. Spoon evenly over cream cheese layer.
- Chill until firm.
