Maple-bacon French toast Recipe

  1. Grease a 13-by-9-in.
  2. baking dish; set aside.
  3. In a large shallow bowl, whisk the first 10 ingredients.
  4. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, and arrange the slices into the prepared dish.
  5. Pour the remaining egg mixture over the top.
  6. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  7. Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.
  8. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  9. In a small bowl, combine the topping ingredients and spread over the top.
  10. Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes, or until a knife inserted near center comes out clean.
  11. Let it stand for 10 minutes before serving.
  12. Drizzle with maple syrup.
