Delicious Cherry Sauce
- 20 oz thawed frozen black cherries, this uses two bags usually with a touch leftover
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2/3 cup water plus 3 tablespoons
- 4 tbsp corn starch
- In a large pot on medium-high heat, bring cherries, 2/3 cup water and sugar to boil.
- Boil for two minutes, lower heat to medium.
- In a small bowl mix cornstarch and 3 tablespoons water until mixed thoroughly leaving no lumps and add to cherries.
- Cook several more minutes until thick.
- Remove from heat and cool before using.
- Use sauce cooled over cheesecake, ice cream or any dessert you wish.
