Mystery Pecan Pie

  1. Cream together cream cheese, 1 egg, 1/3 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla in small mixer bowl.
  2. Beat until fluffy.
  3. Spread mixture on bottom of unbaked pie shell.
  4. Sprinkle pecans over creamed mixture.
  5. Beat 3 eggs in small mixer bowl until well mixed, but not foamy.
  6. Do not overbeat.
  7. Add syrup, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla and salt.
  8. Mix well.
  9. Pour over pecans.
  10. Bake 40 minutes or until nuts are lightly browned.
  11. Serve warm or cold. May be frozen.
  12. Thaw at room temperature.
