Cheese And Wine Bread
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/2 c. dry white wine
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 3 eggs (or Egg Beaters)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. cubed Monterey Jack cheese
- In a saucepan, heat wine, butter, sugar and salt until warm. Add to 1 1/2 cups flour and yeast in large mixing bowl.
- Add eggs. Beat at low speed for 1/2 minute and at high speed for 3 minutes. Stir in cheese and enough flour to make a soft dough and knead until smooth.
- Place in covered greased bowl and let rise until it doubles, about 1 1/2 hours.
- Punch down and shape into one large 8 inch round loaf.
- Place in greased 9-inch pie plate and let rise until it doubles, about 40 minutes.
- Bake 20 minutes at 375u0b0. Cover with foil and bake an additional 20 minutes.
