Spaghetti Sauce
- 1 lb. can Italian tomatoes
- 6 oz. can tomato paste
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 3 oz. can sliced mushrooms
- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 4 stalks celery, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- dash of red pepper
- 1 small can water (tomato paste)
- 1 lb. box spaghetti
- Over medium heat in large frying pan, saute garlic in olive oil until golden; remove.
- Add chopped onion, green pepper and celery until golden.
- Add ground chuck and saute until brown (10 minutes), stirring constantly.
- Add seasonings, stirring with beef mixture for about 5 minutes.
- Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, 1 can of water and mushrooms.
- Put garlic back into mixture.
- Reduce heat to simmer, cover and cook for 1 hour.
- Serve over spaghetti noodles and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
