'Kuromame' Black Soy Beans Made in a Pressure Cooker
- 300 grams Kuromame
- 800 ml Water
- 200 grams Sugar
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 1 teaspoon Salt
- Combine the ingredients, turn on the heat, and cook until the sugar has dissolved.
- Thoroughly wash the kuromame and cover with the mixture overnight.
- Add Step 1 to the pressure cooker, cover with the lid, and turn the heat to high.
- When pot begins to shake, lower the heat and steam for 20 minutes.
- Stop the heat and let cool.
- They're done.
- Letting the beans sit in the broth for a short time allows for the flavors to blend together and the beans will become nice and plump.
