Bite-sized Microwave Brownies

  1. Crush the walnuts into about 5 mm pieces.
  2. Place in a heatproof container and microwave at 600 W for 1.5 minutes.
  3. Grease a microwave-safe petit gateaux mold with oil.
  4. Drop a walnut into each.
  5. In a different heatproof container, add the crushed chocolate and butter and microwave for a minute to melt.
  6. Mix the butter and chocolate with a whisk.
  7. Add sugar, egg, pancake mix, and cocoa powder.
  8. Mix well.
  9. (Adjust the amount of sugar to your liking.)
  10. Add any remaining walnuts from Step 2 into the batter.
  11. Using a spoon, pour the chocolate mixture into the mold from a decent height.
  12. Make sure each mold is about half full.
  13. If there is any leftover batter, put it into small molds such as cupcake liners.
  14. Lift the mold from Step 6 and drop it onto your workplace several times to remove any air bubbles and to smoothen out the surface.
  15. Microwave the molds one by one, for 2 minutes at 600 W. Leave them in the microwave for 2 minutes, then take out.
  16. Microwave it in 20 second increments if it's done cooked through.
  17. Because the microwave will be warm when heating the second batch, slightly shorten the heating time.
