Fruity Crystal Cake
- 2 cup sifted cake flour
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 bananas sliced
- 1 packages strawberries sliced
- 1 can crushed pineapple drained from juice
- 1 large cool whip (16 oz)
- 1 packages peacans chopped pieces
- 5 cherries maraschino
- 1 packages stawberry jello
- strawberry jello make 1cup hot boiling water, 1cup ice cold water.make this the night before making cake.put in refrigerator over night.
- preheat oven and bake on 375
- sift together flour, baking powder, and salt
- cream shortening.add sugar gradually and cream together umtil light and fluffy.add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition.add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk a small amount at a time.
- beating after each addition untill smooth.
- add vanilla.
- pour into greased pans, any size u need, this will be 2 -8"pans.bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
- when cake is done baking, set cakes on wire rack to cool completely.
- clean strawberrys and slice, drain crushed pineapples in colander,slice bananas and crush peacans.
- place place one piece of cake on bottom, place strawberrys slices on top of cake, place half of jello on top of strawberrys, whip cream 1cup, add another cake ontop of whip cream.
- now add pineapples, jello, whip cream, cake, bananas slices , whip cream, peacans,maraschino cherries.
- i made 3- 6"inch cakes to do this cake.
