Broccoli Casserole
- 2 pkg. frozen, chopped broccoli, cooked and drained
- 8 oz. jar Cheez Whiz
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 c. cooked rice
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 small can sliced mushrooms (optional)
- 3/4 c. chopped celery
- 3/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 3/4 c. chopped onions
- 1 small clove garlic, pressed
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. sliced water chestnuts
- While cooking the broccoli, saute the celery, green peppers, onions and garlic until soft in a stick of margarine.
- Cook rice as usual; add mushroom soup and Cheez Whiz.
- Mix well.
- Combine everything; mix thoroughly and place in a casserole dish.
- Bake, covered, for 20 minutes at 350u0b0.
- Bake an additional 10 minutes, uncovered.
- Serves 10 to 12 people.
- Nice dish for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner.
