Cranberry-Pear Crisp
- 4 large ripe pears, cored, peeled and sliced (about 4 cups) Safeway 1 lb For $1.88 thru 02/09
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, divided
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- 3 Tbsp. cold margarine
- 1 cup whole grain cereal flakes with cranberries and almonds, lightly crushed
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Toss pears with 2 Tbsp.
- sugar and 1/2 tsp.
- of the cinnamon in large bowl.
- Place in 8-inch square baking dish.
- Mix 1/2 cup sugar, the flour and remaining 1/2 tsp.
- cinnamon in large bowl; cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in cereal.
- Sprinkle evenly over pears.
- Bake 30 min.
- or until pears are tender.
- Serve warm.
