Grilled Italian Pesto Sandwich
- 1 (6 ounce) packagesliced mozzarella cheese, cut in thirds
- 8 slices Italian bread
- 14 cup pizza sauce (commercial)
- 14 cup pesto sauce (commercial)
- 20 slices pepperoni
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 6 ounces ham slices
- Arrange 1 cheese slice on slice of bread.
- Spread with pizza sauce.
- Top with cheese slice and spread evenly with pesto sauce.
- Arrange pepperoni and ham slices on top and top with remaining cheese slice.
- Top with remaining bread slice.
- Repeat 3 times.
- Spread half of butter on one side of each sandwich.
- Invert sandwiches on hot griddle or non stick skillet.
- Cook over medium heat til browned.
- Spread remaining butter on second side of bread, flip and cook til done.
