Tarleni
- 1 small onion
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 (5 oz.) pkg. noodles
- 2 Tbsp. Wesson oil
- 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1 (15 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 (15 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 3/4 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
- Chop onion and pepper; saute in oil until tender.
- Add meat; stir and cook until browned.
- In large bowl, place mushrooms, tomatoes, corn and 1/2 of cheese.
- Cook noodles in salted water until tender; drain.
- Add to mixture in bowl.
- Add meat mixture; blend well.
- Pour in greased 3-quart casserole dish.
- Let stand 12 to 24 hours.
- Cover and bake at 400u0b0 for 45 minutes.
- Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes longer. Serves 6 to 8.
