Chocolate Snappers

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. In small bowl, mix flour, soda, cinnamon and salt.
  3. Set aside.
  4. In large bowl, mix shortening, 1 cup sugar and egg, beat until creamy.
  5. Mix in corn syrup and chocolate.
  6. Blend in flour mixture.
  7. Shape into balls, using 1 tablespoon dough for each cookie.
  8. Roll in granulated sugar.
  9. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
  10. Bake for 15 minutes.
