Lasagna

  1. Saute sausage, beef, onion and garlic until well blended.
  2. Add next 11 ingredients.
  3. Simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Cook noodles.
  4. Combine Ricotta cheese with egg, parsley and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  5. To assemble:
  6. Spoon 1 1/2 cups meat sauce on bottom of 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
  7. Arrange 6 noodles lengthwise over meat sauce.
  8. Spread with 1/2 the Ricotta cheese mixture.
  9. Top with 1/3 of Mozzarella slices.
  10. Spoon 1 1/2 cups meat sauce over Mozzarella and sprinkle with 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese.
  11. Add in layers remaining noodles, Ricotta cheese mixture, 1/2 remaining Mozzarella and all meat sauce.
  12. Top with Mozzarella, sprinkle with Parmesan.
  13. Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes at 375u0b0.
  14. Remove foil and bake 25 minutes more.
  15. Cool 15 minutes before serving.
  16. Serves 6 to 8.
