Whole Wheat Pasta With Pesto and Green Beans

  1. Trim the green beans and cut them in half lengthwise.
  2. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  3. Add green beans and cook 7 minutes or until almost cooked.
  4. Add pasta and cook until tender.
  5. Drain and transfer to a heated serving bowl.
  6. Dot with margarine and pour over the pesto sauce.
  7. Toss lightly and serve.
  8. Variation: Reduce the ammount of green beans by about 1/3 and add a couple of peeled and sliced potatoes.
