Haricots Verts with Almonds

  1. Cook beans in medium pot of boiling salted water until just crisp-tender, about 3 minutes.
  2. Drain.
  3. Rinse under cold running water to cool quickly.
  4. Pat beans dry.
  5. (Can be made 1 day ahead.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap and chill.)
  7. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.
  8. Add green beans and half of almonds and toss until heated through, about 3 minutes.
  9. Season beans with salt and pepper.
  10. Transfer beans to platter.
  11. Sprinkle with remaining almonds.
