Easy Cheesy Brownies Recipe

  1. Grease a 9 x 9 inch square pan.
  2. Prepare cream cheese filling and set aside.
  3. Heat butter and chocolate in small saucepan (I use the micro- wave) till melted.
  4. Let cold.
  5. Beat chocolate mix, sugar, Large eggs and vanilla in large bowl on medium speed for 1 minute.
  6. Beat in flour and salt on low speed 1/2 minute, then medium speed for 1 minute.
  7. Stir in nuts.
  8. Layer by spreading half of the chocolate dough in pan; then spread cream cheese filling over it.
  9. Gently spread remaining chocolate dough over the cream cheese layer.
  10. Swirl and spoon through the layers for a marbled effect using an over-and-under motion.
  11. Bake till wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 55 to 65 min.
  12. Cold.
  13. I usually frost the brownies with chocolate icing before cutting into squares.
