Bacon Swirls
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 (4 oz.) can chopped mushrooms
- 1/4 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
- 1 (8 oz.) can crescent rolls
- 2 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 egg white, slightly beaten
- 2 Tbsp. poppy seed
- Combine cooked bacon, mushrooms and mayonnaise.
- Stir well. Set aside.
- Separate crescent rolls into 4 rectangles.
- Press perforations together to seal at seams.
- Spread softened cream cheese over each rectangle leaving 1/4 inch margin on one long side and no margins on other sides.
- Spread 1/4 bacon mixture evenly over cream cheese.
- Roll dough up jelly roll fashion.
- Pinch seams to seal.
- Place in freezer to chill for easier cutting.
- Remove and cut into 1/2 inch slices.
- Brush each slice with egg white and sprinkle with poppy seed.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 9 minutes until lightly browned.
- Yield:
- 36 appetizers.
