Lemon Cheese Squares

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Combine cake mix, 1 egg, butter and pecans in medium bowl and mix to blend.
  3. Press mixture onto bottom of ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch glass baking dish.
  4. Beat sugar, cream cheese and sour cream in large bowl to blend.
  5. Mix in remaining 2 eggs, lemon peel and vanilla.
  6. Spread cheese evenly over crust.
  7. Bake until cheese topping sets, about 30 minutes.
  8. Cool in pan on rack.
  9. Refrigerate until very cold, at least 3 hours.
  10. (Can be prepared 1 day ahead.
  11. Cover and keep refrigerated.)
  12. Cut into squares and serve cold.
