Basil/Garlic Vinaigrette Recipe
- 2 c. Tightly-packed basil leaves
- 2 tsp Red wine vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Fresh lime juice
- 1 Tbsp. Chopped garlic
- 1 Tbsp. Minced red onion
- 1 Tbsp. Honey
- 1/2 c. Extra virgin olive oil Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
- Combine the basil leaves, vinegar, lime juice, garlic, onion, and honey in a blender and puree.
- With the motor running slowly add in the oil till emulsified.
- Season to taste with salt and freshly grnd pepper.
- May be prepared up to 1 day ahead and refrigerated.
- Bring up to room temperature before serving.
- This recipe yields 1 c. of vinaigrette.
