Bacon-Studded Waffles

  1. Spray electric waffle iron with cooking spray.
  2. Heat iron to medium heat.
  3. Meanwhile, whisk first 3 ingredients in medium bowl until blended.
  4. Add baking mix; whisk just until blended.
  5. (Do not overmix.)
  6. Stir in bacon.
  7. Pour amount of batter directed by manufacturer onto grids of waffle iron.
  8. Close lid quickly.
  9. (Do not open until waffle is done.)
  10. Cook according to manufacturer's directions.
  11. When done, lift waffle off grid with fork.
  12. Repeat with remaining batter.
  13. Serve topped with syrup and COOL WHIP.
