Hershey'S Fudge
- 4 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 large can Pet milk
- 1 small pkg. Hershey's chocolate chips
- 1 large pkg. Hershey's chocolate chips
- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- 4 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
- 1 1/2 c. broken pecan pieces (optional)
- In large saucepan, dissolve sugar and milk, bring to a boil and boil exactly six minutes.
- Stir and watch to prevent scorching. (Never boil less than six minutes.
- A minute more won't hurt.) Have ready in a large bowl the chocolate chips, butter and vanilla flavoring (cut sticks of butter in small pieces).
- Pour mixture over chocolate chips, butter and vanilla and beat until smooth and creamy.
- (The more beating, the better the fudge.)
- Add pecans, if desired.
- Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan or glass dish.
- Cool before slicing.
