Peas And Carrots Recipe
- 2 c. English peas, shelled
- 1 c. carrots, scraped and diced
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1/2 teaspoon summer savory herb
- Healthy pinch fresh mint, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- Try to cut the carrots the same size as the peas.
- I get English peas from Publix and shell them while watching the Frugal Gourmet.
- Of course Bugs Bunny is also good to watch while shelling.
- Heat butter in skillet or possibly stir-fry pan over medium heat.
- Add in the carrots and cook 5 min and add in sugar.
- Continue cooking till they start to soften then add in the peas and herbs.
- Remove from heat when vegetables are tender-crisp.
