Lynn Gray'S Chile Dip
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. Heinz hot ketchup *
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 16 oz. can red kidney beans with liquid, mashed
- 1 (17 oz.) bottle Territorial House medium green chile salsa **
- 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 c. green onion, chopped
- 1/4 c. black olives
- sour cream, if desired
- Tostitos white corn tortilla chips
- Brown the ground beef and onion in a skillet.
- Drain the fat. Add the ketchup, chili powder, salt, mashed kidney beans and liquid and salsa.
- Simmer about 5 minutes.
- Spread in a 9 x 13-inch pan, top with cheese and bake until melted in a 350u0b0 oven, 10 to 20 minutes.
- Top with chopped green onions and sliced olives, if desired.
- Serve with tortilla chips.
