Classic Macaroni Salad
- 3 1/4 cup Mayonaise
- 2 tbsp Cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Prepared yellow mustard (optional)
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
- 8 oz Elbow macaroni (cooked as directed on box, rinsed with cold water & drained)
- 1 cup Chopped celery
- 1 cup Chopped red or green bell pepper
- 1/4 cup Chopped onion
- 1 as needed Chopped tomatoes if desired
- 1/3 cup Finely shredded cheddar cheese to sprinkle on top if desired
- In large bowl combine first 6 ingredients.
- Add elbow macaroni, celery, green pepper and onion (& chopped tomato); toss to coat.
- Sprinkle with finely shredded cheddar cheese
- Cover; chill to blend flavors.
