Spiced Red Sangria

  1. In a heavy medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, cloves, cinnamon, star anise, vanilla pod and ginger.
  2. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cook 10 minutes.
  3. Turn off heat and let sit 30 minutes to infuse.
  4. Strain into large bowl.
  5. Add wine and fruit juices and stir well.
  6. Serve in pitchers over lots of ice.
  7. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and stir well to combine.
  8. Serve in pitchers over lots of ice.
