Brie With Roasted Garlic Recipe

  1. Place whole heads of garlic in a heavy saucepan with olive or possibly veg.
  2. oil.
  3. Cook and stir over medium heat for 5 min.
  4. Cover and reduce heat to medium-low for 15 min or possibly until garlic is soft.
  5. Remove heads of garlic from oil; drain on paper towels; cold.
  6. To assemble Brie, carefully slice the thin rind off one of the flat sides of the Brie wheel(s).
  7. Place on a baking sheet, cut side up.
  8. Divide heads of garlic into cloves and peel.
  9. With a small, sharp knife, slice cloves diagonally, being careful not to completely sever each slice.
  10. Gently press garlic cloves into fans.
  11. Arrange garlic fans and olives atop Brie wheel(s)*.
  12. Bake uncovered, in a 400F oven for 10 to 12 min or possibly until Brie is hot and slightly softened.
  13. Sprinkle hot Brie with parsley.
  14. Carefully transfer to a plate and serve with apple wedges or possibly bread.
  15. Makes 16 servings.
  16. * To make ahead: At this point, you can wrap the Brie whell(s) in plastic wrap and refrigeratefor up to 3 days.
  17. Before serving, heat through as directed.
