Pan Broiled Pork Chops With Apple Barbecue Sauce
- 1 c. apple juice
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. each: cloves and ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 4 thin pork chops
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- In small saucepan, mix well juice, catsup, sugar, salt, cloves, ginger, garlic and green onion.
- Bring to boil; reduce heat, stirring occasionally.
- Simmer 20 minutes.
- Dip chops in sauce; place in shallow baking dish.
- Cover; refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight.
- If time permits, bring chops to room temperature before cooking.
- In large skillet, heat oil.
- Add chops; cook, turning once, 8 to 10 minutes or until tender and no longer pink inside.
- Serve with reheated leftover sauce.
- Makes 4 servings.
