Bacon & Onion Masa Cakes
- 3 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, finely chopped Rite Aid 2 For $7.00 thru 02/06
- 1 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 3 cups masa harina
- 1/2 cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1-1/2 cups warm water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Cook bacon in large skillet on medium heat 5 min., stirring occasionally.
- Add onions and cumin; cook an additional 5 min., stirring frequently.
- Cool.
- Mix masa harina, cheese, water and salt until well blended.
- Place on lightly floured surface.
- Knead 5 min.
- or until smooth and elastic.
- Add bacon mixture; knead until well blended.
- Divide into 10 balls.
- With moistened hands, form each ball into a circle, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Add dough circles, in batches, to large skillet sprayed with cooking spray.
- Cook on medium-high heat 2 to 3 min.
- on each side or until lightly browned on both sides, spraying skillet with additional cooking spray between batches.
