Fried Banana Ravioli
- 3/4 cup ripe bananas, peeled and cubed
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 2 tbsp. walnuts, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp. pecans, finely chopped
- 16 wonton wrappers
- 1 lg. egg, beaten
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Powdered sugar (optional)
- Gently mix bananas, brown sugar, graham cracker crumbs, walnuts and pecans in a medium bowl.
- (Do not mash bananas) Lay the wonton wrappers on work surface and brush edges with egg.
- Spoon 1-1/2 heaping teaspoons of banana filling into the center of each wrapper.
- Fold wrappers diagonally over filling.
- Press edges to seal.
- Place on tray lined with plastic wrap.
- Add enough oil to a heavy pan to 2 inches in depth.
- Heat over medium high heat to 350F.
- Working in batches, add ravioli; cook until golden brown, about 45 seconds per side.
- Using a slotted spoon transfer to paper towels to drain.
- Dust with powdered sugar.
