Creamy Orange Rings Recipe

  1. Combine cream cheese, granulated sugar and peel, mixing till well blended.
  2. For each can of rolls, unroll dough onto lightly floured surface.
  3. Overlap long edges of rectangle to create 13 x 7 inches, pressing edges together to seal.
  4. Spread rectangle with half of cream cheese mix.
  5. Sprinkle with half of almonds.
  6. Roll up dough, starting with long side, pressing edges together to seal.
  7. Shape into ring, seam-side down, on greased cookie sheet.
  8. Press ends together to seal.
  9. Cut 2/3 through ring from outer edge at 1-inch intervals, leaving center of ring intact.
  10. Turn each section on its side.
  11. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 min.
  12. Combine powdered sugar and juice, drizzle on hot coffee cake ring.
  13. Garnish with maraschino cherry halves and additional almonds to make flowers.
