Blood Orange Sauce Recipe
- 5 1/2 c. blood orange juice (or possibly regular orange juice)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp chopped or possibly pressed garlic
- 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh ginger
- 1/4 tsp warm chili flakes - (to 1/2)
- In a 10- to 12-inch nonstick frying pan over high heat, mix orange juice, sugar, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes to taste.
- Boil till reduced to 1 c., about 10 min; stir often.
- Use warm or possibly cool.
- This recipe yields about 1 c..
- Comments: If making sauce up to 2 days ahead, cover and chill.
- It makes a refreshing dressing for a green salad or possibly grapefruit segments.
- Yield: 1 c.
