Our Nursery School's Tofu & Ground Meat Miso Au Gratin
- 400 grams Tofu
- 200 grams Ground pork or ground chicken
- 10 Shiso leaves
- 1 tsp Miso
- 2 tsp Mirin
- 1 tsp Sake
- 1 pinch of each Salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Miso
- 2 tsp Sake
- 1 tsp Sugar
- Prepping: Drain the excess water from the tofu.
- Mix together the sauce ingredients - mayonnaise, miso, sake and sugar.
- Finely shop the shiso leaves.
- The meat-miso mix: Brown the ground meat and flavor with the meat-miso mix ingredients - miso, mirin, sake, salt and pepper.
- Turn the heat off, and add the chopped shiso leaves.
- Cut the tofu into pieces, and put into a gratin dish.
- Put in the meat-miso mix, then the sauce, and bake in the oven until browned on top.
- Finished!

- Variations: Add whatever ingredients you like!
- Mushrooms, eggplants, green onions and cheese are popular.
