Bite Size Herb Biscuits
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2/3 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. finely chopped onions
- 1 tsp. parsley
- 1 vegetable and cheese filling
- 1 cream cheese filling or your choice of filling in dairy case of your store
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar and cream of tartar. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Make a well in center.
- Add milk, onions and parsley.
- Stir until dough clings together.
- On a lightly floured surface, knead dough gently 10 to 12 times.
- Roll dough 1/2-inch thick.
- Cut dough with 1 1/2-inch cutter.
- Cook on ungreased pan at 450u0b0 for 6 to 8 minutes. Half biscuits, then split halves.
- Put filling in biscuits.
- Makes 24 to 28 appetizers.
