Sherbet Angel Slices
- 1 box Angel food cake mix
- 3 pints sherbet (assorted flavors)
- 8 oz Cool whip
- 11 oz Mandarin orange segments, drained
- Bake & cool cake as directed on package.
- Remove from pan.
- Tear cake into bite size pieces.
- Line 2 loaf pans with wax paper.
- Alternate Cake pieces with spoonfuls of sherbet in pans, pressing gently.
- Cover tightly & freeze until firm, at least 4 hrs.
- Invert each loaf on serving plate.
- Remove wax paper.
- Cover & freeze until serving time.
- Cut orange segments in half.
- Then fold into cool whip.
- Spread over each loaf before serving.
- Garnish with fresh fruit, if desired.
