Sherbet Angel Slices

  1. Bake & cool cake as directed on package.
  2. Remove from pan.
  3. Tear cake into bite size pieces.
  4. Line 2 loaf pans with wax paper.
  5. Alternate Cake pieces with spoonfuls of sherbet in pans, pressing gently.
  6. Cover tightly & freeze until firm, at least 4 hrs.
  7. Invert each loaf on serving plate.
  8. Remove wax paper.
  9. Cover & freeze until serving time.
  10. Cut orange segments in half.
  11. Then fold into cool whip.
  12. Spread over each loaf before serving.
  13. Garnish with fresh fruit, if desired.
