Hot 'N' Gooey Chocolate Cake
- 1/2 c. plus 1 Tbsp. oil
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. cake flour
- 1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Fudge Sauce
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease and flour a 9-inch tube or Bundt pan, shaking out excess flour.
- Beat oil, eggs and sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until light and lemon colored. Sift flour with cocoa, baking powder and baking soda.
- Add to egg mixture, alternately with milk and vanilla.
- Beat at low speed until blended.
- Pour into prepared pan and bake about 1 hour or until center tests done.
- Cool in pan 10 to 20 minutes before inverting on a serving platter.
- Serve warm with sauce and whipped cream, if desired.
- Serves 10 to 12.
